Stitch with Gina Maccarone I do lots of education on this page about how to check credentials, but I have never encountered someone calling themselves a specialty they did not train in or take boards for. I asked yesterday why she was calling herself a plastic surgeon and she took the post down, she had many still up still stating this. Patients deserve accurate info to make decisions for their bodies and we should all be upfront and honest with our qualifications and training IMO….

“What do you all think? Should I call myself a neurosurgeon and start removing GBMs?” – Kelly Killeen, MD, FACS
