DALLAS, July 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Ideal Implant Incorporated announced today that Paul Herchman, Co-Founder and former CEO of ThermiGen, LLC was appointed to its Board of Directors, and will act as a consultant in Corporate Development for Ideal Implant. The company also announced that current Board member Kevin Morano will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer, continuing to lead the company’s financial strategy, and National Sales Director Gabe Walters has been promoted to Vice President of U.S. Sales.
“Ideal Implant has grown significantly over the last year and with that growth, we need to be continually adding talent and expertise that can take the company to the next level,” commented Dr. Robert S. Hamas, CEO and Founder of Ideal Implant. “I’m thrilled to have Mr. Herchman join our board. He is a recognized innovator in the aesthetic surgery and medical device industries. He has started, built and grown numerous successful companies.”
As the Co-Founder and former CEO of ThermiGen (“Thermi”), Herchman and his team developed and introduced a minimally invasive, temperature-controlled radio frequency device used worldwide for aesthetic applications. He led Thermi’s capitalization and strategic efforts resulting in the sale of ThermiGen, LLC to Almirall, S.A, a Barcelona-based pharmaceutical company, for an Enterprise Value of $82 million. In December 2016, CEO Magazine and D Healthcare Daily announced Herchman as winner in the Excellence in Healthcare Awards for Outstanding Healthcare Deal. Previously, Herchman was the Founder and CEO of Medical Alliance, Inc., which facilitated the transfer of minimally invasive surgical procedures to physician offices. Herchman successfully completed an Initial Public Offering, and the company was listed on NASDAQ. Herchman was also the lead on the sale of Medical Alliance to ICN Pharmaceuticals of Costa Mesa, California.
“I think the IDEAL IMPLANT is the next big product in the breast implant market. It is a unique structured breast implant offering for women. It combines the natural look and feel they are looking for with the safety they want,” stated Herchman. “I’m looking forward to helping bring the IDEAL IMPLANT to more women across the country through unique partnerships, increased marketing efforts and physician office expansion.”
Kevin Morano serves on the Board of Directors for Ideal Implant. As CFO, he will oversee financial planning, strategy, logistics and operating finances. Mr. Morano has previously served as President and COO, and earlier as CFO, for ASARCO, a major mining company. He has also served as CFO of a laser-based medical device company, Lumenis.
Gabe Walters previously held the role of National Sales Director, where he led sales efforts across the nation. In his new role, Walters will build the sales force and formulate sales strategy, while continuing to oversee all sales efforts. Prior to Ideal Implant, Walters was a Sales Consultant at Sientra, a medical device and breast implant company. Previously, he held a variety of sales and management positions at Allergan.
“We are fortunate to have Mr. Morano and Mr. Walters take on new roles within our organization,” noted Hamas. “Both have been instrumental in growing Ideal Implant operations, customer service, and preparing the company for continued expansion.”
