A woman who garnered immense attention and years of international tabloid coverage for the vast number of dramatic and often dangerous plastic surgery procedures she underwent now says she regrets and wants to reverse them to lead a more normal life.
Mary Magdalene, the world’s most well-known plastic surgery patient, says the journey that once made her happy has now left her feeling trapped, burnt out, and drained in “every way possible.”
Late Friday evening, the 30-year-old Canadian artist and content creator shared with her 204,000 Instagram followers that the “extreme surgery look” comes with “a lot of complications eventually,” and isn’t worth it.
Magdalene said then she felt trapped and severely burnt out from the lifestyle, and that plastic surgery was no longer worth the time, money, and stress.
“I am burnt the f*ck out from this lifestyle I wish I never did it not worth all the time money stress my body can’t recover the same anymore I just want to live a normal life now and I can’t.”

Early Monday, she elaborated on that decision, sharing three pages of typed notes in an Instagram post.
In them, Magdalene says that the plastic surgery journey she was on was a necessary part of her path to enlightenment, but that complications left her in a never-ending cycle of repeat surgeries, which she no longer cares for.
“It’s not a fun little adventure anymore. It is just draining in every way possible. My time gets drained, my bank account, my energy, my health.”
Magdalene previously compared her extensive plastic surgery to an extreme sport.
“Do I regret it? Mary would literally not exist without any of this. And I literally needed her. She gave me strength, confidence, a peek into a non sugarcoated version of humans, and she inspired me immensely creatively. She is so extra and draining but was a necessary part of my path to enlightenment.”

“My goal is to just tone things down to a point that when I speak, people will see ME not my surgeries, you know,” she shared Monday evening.
“Super happy about the change already,” Magdalene said, acknowledging the encouragement of many of her more than 200,000 followers.
